【摘要】 尽管白嘉轩身上闪耀着无穷的人格魅力，尽管他作为封建社会的栋梁和柱石，他还是无法逃脱走向没落这一历史命运。他的悲剧性就在于，作为一个封建性人物，虽然到了反封建的历史时代，他身上许多东西仍呈现出充分的精神价值，而这些有价值的东西却要为时代所革除，这就使其人格显出浓厚的悲剧性。

Tragic Personality : the talking of Bai JiaXuan’s Character

Abstract： Bai JiaXuan, as the feudal society’s pillar and beam and post, his endless personality lure is shining on himself. But he has never run away the historical destiny that is lead to decline. As a feudal person, though it has been the anti-feudal historical era, many personal things of himself has shown ample spiritual values. But these valuable things must be rid of by the era. So it’s the deep tragic significance of his personality where lies.
